Acceptability of Two Ready-to-Use Therapeutic Foods among HIV-Positive Patients in Vietnam

publication cover

Results of an assessment of the acceptability of two ready-to-use therapeutic foods (RUTFs), one imported and one produced locally, to treat severe acute malnutrition in Vietnam are presented in both a report and journal article. The study was carried out with HIV-positive adults and children. The findings showed that both RUTFs were acceptable, but both children and adults expressed a preference for the locally produced RUTF. A two-page impact story on the assessment and next steps is also available.
