In its fifth year, FANTA’s technical assistance programs and projects worked with partners, ministries, and health care professionals in 20 countries to scale-up evidence-based nutrition interventions. From October 2015 to September 2016, we strengthened the capacity of over 3,300 health care professionals, developed 46 tools to support nutrition programs, and assisted with the development of 16 global- and national-level nutrition policies. In addition, our innovative research was published in several high-impact, peer-reviewed journals.
FANTA is committed to supporting USAID’s Multi-Sectoral Nutrition Strategy 2014-2025. We work to strengthen food security and health policies, programs, and systems for improved nutrition, striving to improve the health and well-being of vulnerable individuals, families, and communities in developing countries.
