Systemic Scale-up of Nutrition Programming in Tanzania: A Report on FANTA Activities from 2010 to 2017

For eight years, FANTA collaborated with Tanzania’s Ministry of Health, Community Development, Gender, Elderly and Children; the Tanzania Food and Nutrition Centre; the Prime Minister’s Office, Local Government Authorities, key nutrition stakeholders, media, and the private sector to strengthen multisectoral nutrition governance, advocacy to promote commitment to and accountability for nutrition, national scale up of nutrition-specific and nutrition-sensitive programming, and service delivery throughout the country. This report summarizes FANTA’s work, which focused on strengthening multisectoral nutrition governance and integrating nutrition assessment, counseling, and support (NACS) into health service delivery at facility and community levels.
