National Recipe Guide Using Local Foods to Improve the Nutritional Status and Health of Adolescents and Adults in Côte d’Ivoire

FANTA worked with Côte d’Ivoire’s Ministry of Health, in particular the National Nutrition Program and the National Institute of Public Health, to develop a national recipe guide based on locally grown foods. The 41 easy-to-use recipes were developed to help improve the nutritional status and health of adolescents and adults with malnutrition (8 recipes), diabetes (12 recipes), hypertension (8 recipes), and HIV (13). Each recipe includes nutritional information and is accompanied by a four-color photograph. Available in French, the guide is intended for use by health care services providers, personnel in community-based organizations, social workers and dieticians, and international and national organizations that support health and nutrition programs.
