Ann Bourns has over 15 years of experience in managing United States Government-funded projects. Prior to joining FANTA and FHI 360, she was director of operations for the Global Strategic Information Group at the University of California, San Francisco. At Columbia University, she was director of the Management Unit and the regional management advisor for the International Center for AIDS Care and Treatment (ICAP) at the Mailman School of Public Health (MSPH). She has also served as associate director for the Access and Macroeconomics and Health projects at the Earth Institute/MSPH at Columbia University. Before focusing on global health, she managed education programs in east Africa and was an international tour guide. She holds master's degrees in public health and education from Harvard University and a master's degree in social work from Columbia University.
