Sujata, what do you do at FANTA?

I lead FANTA's monitoring and evaluation (M&E) efforts, primarily in support of the global team of the Office of Food for Peace.

What has been your proudest moment on the FANTA project?

Shortly after I started at FANTA, I organized a new workshop at Food for Peace's request. They had a new list of annual monitoring indicators and wanted a mechanism to help familiarize partners with the most challenging of these indicators. In tandem with another M&E team member, we came up with an Annual Monitoring Indicators workshop, with brand new content, formats, and presentations. We invited speakers, arranged for simultaneous translation into French and Spanish, and tried to develop a really participatory format. For example, one of the last sessions consisted of each visiting project team sharing an M&E best practice - but through song, dance, drama, or art. The participants loved it and they seemed to have a lot of fun. I also really loved the icebreaker we used at that workshop. Ultimately, the workshop was very well received, and FFP was very happy with it. I feel like that was one of my proudest moments.
