Reena, what do you do at FANTA?

As a member of FANTA’s Global Leadership team, I manage a diverse set of activities, primarily in support of the Office of Food for Peace. If the task involves qualitative research, landscape analyses, gender or family planning integration, I am usually involved!

What has been your proudest moment on the FANTA project?

We are implementing a qualitative formative research study in Malawi that involved primary data collection in a short timeframe. We put together a field team largely made up of recent college graduates. My proudest moment was when the team not only completed data collection on schedule, but also left the field with all 66 interviews transcribed! I have never seen this in my 15 years of working with professional research firms globally—the team spirit, energy, and hard work displayed by the young team was especially rewarding.
