Tanzania Nutrition Assessment, Counseling, and Support (NACS) Tools

two adults measure a child's heightDeveloped by the Tanzania Food and Nutrition Centre (TFNC) and FANTA, the first edition of the Tanzania NACS tools was completed in 2011 and used nationwide by local government authorities, other implementing partners, and facility- and community-based service providers in 18 regions of the country. The tools provide information needed to plan, implement, monitor, and report on integration of quality nutrition services into routine health care and treatment, based on national and global references and standards. They are key components of Tanzania’s Multisectoral Nutrition Action Plan (2016−2021) to scale up high-impact nutrition interventions. The tools, which complement the Tanzania NACS Training Package for Facility-Based Service Providers, include:
