Technical
Note No. 9 Program
Graduation and Exit Strategies: A Focus on Title II Food Aid Development Programs
(2004)
As part of
FANTA’s technical support to USAID/India and its Title II partners, FANTA funded a desk review of graduation
and exit strategies used in food-assisted programs, with an emphasis on programs
with maternal and child health components. The review, conducted by the Tufts
University Friedman School of Nutrition Science and Policy, drew primarily
from Title II development program documents and from other program and research
documents related to exit strategies. This resulting technical note offers recommendations for designing and implementing
effective exit strategies, with a focus on Title II development programs.
This publication expands on the earlier FANTA publication, Program Graduation
and Exit Strategies: Title II Program Experiences and Related Research.
