Increasing the Nutritional Impacts of Agricultural
Interventions (1999) This study
provided information on program and policy options for improving the impact of
agriculture on nutrition in sub-Saharan Africa. The findings and recommendations
were based on an extensive review of the literature as well as interviews with
researchers, USAID managers, and other development and donor organizations. The
review focused on four countries: Ghana, Kenya, Mozambique, and Uganda. The findings were presented at
a workshop sponsored by the Greater Horn of Africa Initiative on “Agricultural
Policy, Resource Access, and Human Nutrition” in Addis
Ababa, Ethiopia, in November 1999.
