Situation Analysis of Nutrition in Southern Sudan: Analysis Based on June 2009 Assessment

Working with the Government of Southern Sudan’s Ministry of Health and partners, FANTA-2 conducted an analysis that examined the nutrition situation in Southern Sudan and provides fourteen key recommendations to tackle major nutrition challenges there.  UNICEF, the World Food Programme (WFP), the Food and Agriculture Organisation of the United Nations (FAO), and numerous nongovernmental organisations (NGOs) working in nutrition, health, and food security in Southern Sudan contributed by participating in interviews and providing documents for this nutrition situation analysis.
