Dunia Chiwala supports the government - Department for Nutrition HIV and Aids (DNHA) - and USAID implementing partners to implement nutrition advocacy and SBCC activities. Dunia has more than 6 years’ work experience in developing and coordinating communication and advocacy strategies for social behaviour change at national and district levels. She has also planned and lead community mobilization and capacity building activities. Most recently she worked for USAID-funded Johns Hopkins University/SSDI – Communications as a Zonal SBCC Coordinator. She also worked with Family Planning Association of Malawi where she supported various USAID funded advocacy activities on family planning and reproductive health. Dunia holds a Bachelor’s Degree in Journalism from the University of Malawi and has received professional training in health communication & SBCC.
