Training Guide for Community-Based Management of Acute Malnutrition (CMAM)

Publication Cover

This training guide is designed for health care managers and health care providers who manage, supervise, and implement CMAM in both emergency and non-emergency contexts. This includes health care providers who are involved in health outreach activities, as well as ministry of health officials at the national, regional, and district levels and health and nutrition program managers of nongovernmental organizations.

Note on the English language version (2008)—Some recommendations on the management of severe acute malnutrition in children 6–59 months have been updated by WHO and are not reflected in the English version. FANTA recommends adapting to take into account national guidelines, local considerations, and the WHO recommendations while this version is being updated.
