Training Guide for Community-Based Management of Acute Malnutrition (CMAM)

Publication Cover

This training guide is designed for health care managers and health care providers who manage, supervise, and implement CMAM in both emergency and non-emergency contexts. This includes health care providers who are involved in health outreach activities, as well as ministry of health officials at the national, regional, and district levels and health and nutrition program managers of nongovernmental organizations.

Note on the English language version (2008), the French language version (2010) and the errata (2009)—Some recommendations on the management of severe acute malnutrition in children 6–59 months have been updated by the World Health Organization (WHO) and are not reflected in the English or French versions or the errata. FANTA recommends consulting the latest WHO guidelines and adapting these materials to take into account the most recent WHO guidelines as well as national guidelines and local considerations.
