Wendy Hammond has more than 30 years of experience in program assessment, design, and management related to maternal and child health and nutrition, HIV, prevention of mother-to-child transmission of HIV (PMTCT), education, and child development. Before joining FANTA, she worked with infant and young child feeding and PMTCT in sub-Saharan Africa, India, and Jordan under the LINKAGES Project. Previously, she worked for 13 years with Norwegian Save the Children (Redd Barna) in Southeast and South Asia, consulted for international and nongovernmental organizations in Asia and Africa, and served as a Peace Corps nutrition volunteer in Colombia. Her expertise includes development of nutrition and HIV guidelines and training materials. She has a master’s degree in education from Reed College.
