Mary Packard, Technical Advisor, Social and Behavior Change Communication

Dr. Mary Packard has been working in international health and development for over 20 years with expertise in social and behavior change communications along with experience in organizational development, project design and evaluation, gender, and sexual and reproductive health. She has been posted in Thailand, Jerusalem/West Bank/Gaza, Croatia, and Vietnam where she worked as a consultant for USAID, the Global Fund, and various nongovernmental organizations leading technical teams on capacity development and program improvement initiatives. She also worked as a counselor for Planned Parenthood and other U.S. nonprofits, including as a nutrition educator, as well as serving in the Peace Corps in the Philippines. She holds a PhD in anthropology from American University and a Master’s Degree in economic development with an emphasis on food and nutrition policy from the Fletcher School at Tufts University.
