Maggie Fischer, Project Manager/Guatemala

Maggie Fischer comes to FANTA with more than 25 years of experience in designing and implementing national and sub-regional programs related to food and nutrition security in Central America. At INCAP, she played key roles in supporting countries to implement evidence-based public health and public nutrition programs and in integrating sound technical analyses into policies, programs, and plans. In the PAHO Guatemala Representative Office, she supported efforts to promote food and nutrition security, prevent and control chronic diseases and tobacco abuse, and place special emphasis on the design and implementation of policies and legislation that take into consideration strategic partnerships. She has a master’s degree from the UCLA School of Public Health.
