Francis Muhanguzi, Technical Specialist, Agriculture and Gender

Francis Muhanguzi has more than 10 years of experience working at national and local government levels primarily in the areas of social and community development and agriculture. Before joining FANTA, he worked as a social development officer at the National Agricultural Advisory Services (NAADS) Secretariat, where he coordinated implementation of social and farmer institutional development functions and helped to develop strategies for facilitation and utilization of community development workers in agricultural development; link the USAID-funded Gender and Informed Nutrition in Agriculture Program to NAADS institutions and systems in targeted districts; mainstream gender in NAADS processes; and participated in poverty and livelihood analysis, participatory planning, and enterprise selection processes. He holds a master’s degree in agriculture and rural development, and a bachelor’s degree in social sciences.
