Dr. Crystel-Andrée M’Bahia-Yao joined the FANTA team in Côte d’Ivoire in 2012. She has previously worked for the National Nutrition Program (PNN) of the Ivoirian Ministry of Health, where she served as the chief of services for nutrition and HIV and for food security since 2008. While at the PNN, she collaborated closely with FANTA and other partners to introduce nutrition assessment, counseling, and support (NACS) services to people living with HIV and TB patients. In addition to her work in nutrition and HIV, she has spent several years in the area of school nutrition, helping to develop a guide for nutrition education in schools and working on school feeding and deworming programs, as well as on several Standardized Monitoring & Assessment of Relief & Transition (SMART) surveys. She did her medical studies in Tours, France, and in Abidjan, Côte d’Ivoire, where she completed her MD in 2000.
